While fresh housing building has cooled due to financial improbability, some builders find the stipulate for home renovations, particularly high-end projects, carries unabated. Builders anticipate the renovation market would occupy them more as new house building declines.

 As owners reconsider their options in these varying times, many are choosing to renovate as it could be less luxurious than razing a building and rebuilding.
